A shelving system designed to reveal the small production facilities of a town in Japan and to create a participative experience of the process of design and manufacture.
Visitors to the gallery were given a leaflet containing the shelving design, assembly instructions and a map identifying the list of system elements and where they could be sourced. Visitors toured the area purchasing directly from the workshops and shops and then returned home to assemble their shelving system.
